            Bakugan is a strategic card game using magnetic and spring-loaded marbles, Gate card, Ability gate etc. Saga Toys and Spin Master is the manufacturer of the game. The game has been one of top ten listed Christmas items. The Bakugans are battle warriors and comes in colors like black, red, and blue. The game play involves rolling the Bakugan into the Bakugan gate card. If successful the Bakugan transforms into a powerful Bakugan warrior, action figures pop up from the magnetic marbles. The game involves two teams equipped with Bakugan, Bakugan Gate cards, and Bakugan launchers use Bakugan warriors like Juggernoids, Fear Rippers, Robatallians etc. against each other to get points. The Bakugan Starter pack includes a random selection of three Bakugan warriors, 3 metallic cards and instructions, and three ability cards. Other items like Bakugan launchers to shoot at the magnetic cards can be purchased separately  

            The game is based on a fictional story of an alternate world named Vestroia. One-day cards from Vestroia started to fall in this world from the sky featuring different characters, different powers, and different environments. Kids collected the cards and made a battle game. Bakugan starter kit is one of battle game used to exercise shooting skills, and teamwork, making strategies using the toy warriors, toy transformers and toy gate cards.             Rules of the game

                        Two players game

                        Each player has a team of three Bakugan

                        Each is trying to get the three gate cards first.

            Set Up – each player starts with 3 Bakugan (closed marble, three Gate cards one of each color (heavier than Bakugan and make the Bakugan open), three Ability cards one of each color, the players sit about 2 ½ feet from each other, the space between the players is called field, if ready the player says ‘ Field Open', The unused cards are kept in hands or kept down with the face down. The used cards, Bakugan, Gate Cards, Ability cards are kept on the left side.

The first stage of the game is Play – In this stage player uses Bakugan (rolling it or launching it), depending upon the outcome of Bakugan and Gate cards a battle ensues.

 The second stage of the game is Battle – battle between one Bakugan against another Bakugan starts when they end up in the same Gate card, Bakugan are separated and each Gate's G-power is read.

Next stages are use of Ability cards and Gate Card G-Power Boost.

The player with higher G-Power wins the game.
